Happy Christmas from Glossop Garden Centre
RHS Tatton Park Flower Show 2012 Award Winning Garden Centre

Glossop Garden Centre charities and the wider community

Since Rosie Wallace and Paul Latchford Brown bought Glossop Garden Centre 8 years ago, they have supported the local community and national charitable organisations in many ways. If you work for a local charity and wish to be put forward for consideration from this fund, please apply in writing or email us at info@glossopgardencentre.com

We select several local and national charities per year to be the recipients of this fund. We have now selected the local Charities for this year. So, next time you're shopping with us, make sure you look out for ways to show your support.

GGC in the community

Local Giving

  • For the last 6 years GGC have run and organised ‘Plant Sales’ for St Luke’s School and the Duke of Norfolk School in Glossop. We provide, summer bedding plants, a selection of veg, hanging baskets and other planters.

  • The annual visit from Farther Christmas in aid of Glossop Mountain Rescue continues to raise awareness for the cause, eagerly needed funds on the day and a smile on all the children’s faces. GGC donate all the presents, entry fee and staff time to facilitate the smooth running of this event.

  • We also support ‘Friends of Glossop Station’ by donating a Christmas tree each year for the station and assist them with plants for the trackside throughout the year.

  • In the past we have also supported Willow Wood Hospice and Blythe House Hospice.

National Giving

  • Last year the team at GGC took part in the Macmillan Cancer Coffee Morning. This is an annual event run by Macmillan Cancer. The staff and customers on the day raised a fantastic £325.50.

  • In the past we have also supported The RSPB.
