What to do in your garden in December

In December, you need to sit in front of a roaring fire with a glass of mulled wine, a mince pie to hand and get out your gardening books to plan the gardening year ahead!

  • Should the snow fall, shake it gently off the foliage of evergreens and other plants as heavy snow can break stems and weaken ties and supports.

  • Don't forget to clad your outside tap to protect your pipes from bursting.

  • Our little feathered friends will need to be topped up with high energy food to see them through the winter months. We have a wide variety of feed and feeders to choose from.

  • bird feeder
  • Our range of seeds from Thompson & Morgan are fully stocked with all your usual favourites and some exciting new varieties.

  • If you forgot to plant out your bulbs this autumn for your Spring garden, we have a small selection of growing potted bulbs now. But the full range will be arriving in early January.

  • Sit back and enjoy the festivities and dream of a long hot Spring and Summer!!
