What to do in your garden in June

working in garden
  • Keep on top of weeds in your lawn by regular mowing and applying feed and weed, all available in store.

  • Weed and deadhead your borders, pots and baskets to maintain constant flowering.
  • Treat yourself to new herbaceous perennials for filling any gaps in your borders or plug with some cheerful Summer bedding to give instant colour and impact hiding that bare patch of earth.

  • Hoe and weed your veg and fruit patch and remember to water thoroughly during dry spells. Don't forget that as well as being thirsty they are also greedy so feed regularly. This will encourage your fruit and veg to be plump and tasty.

  • With the rising temperatures there will be an influx of pests. These can be dealt with safely to preserve your expected harvest and your garden plants. We have a wide range of products in stock to remedy all sorts of pest damage.

  • Prune any rose suckers that may have sprouted and also remember to continue spraying with a pesticide. We recommend Bayer Multirose concentrate, which combats both bugs and disease, like caterpillars, aphids, rust and blackspot.
